Coming home from churh yesterday, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a house with grass knee high and furniture sitting on the front yard. I went by again today and no one was home, so I got the address, went back and got on my laptop to the tax office and looked up the info. Would you believe it was most likely sold for taxes this past Friday the 29th (they do this once a year here). It stated if taxes were not paid, it would be sold on 5/29 and our tax office also published a list in the local paper which I got and sure enough, there it was.

Avoid The Auction
August 21st, 2016 | posted by Brian PHello,
My name is Brian and I'm new to this. I will have approximatley 7k to invest with student loan money. This is my one shot. I want to join the success academy but I've found a property worth $108k on the tax lien auction block min bid is $1.4K. I don't have enough time to get my documents to participate in the auction.
What should I do? Please help. Can I go directly to the owner and pay the tax to keep it out of auction and pay him to leave? Any help will be grateful The Auction is on September 6th
Selling properties after Tax Sale Auction
May 12th, 2016 | posted by blainepryorI'm going to attend a Philadelphia Sheriff Sale on 5/24/16-5/26/2016 and I noticed from the April auction that some of the bid winners are selling the properties days after winning the bid. Can someone explain how they can sell the deed before the 30 day requirement to pay the balance off in full.
Philadelphia has a 30 day balance payoff and 10% down or $500 deposit whichever is greater at the auction. They also allow you to extend the 30 day payoff for 2 30 day delay request. But how can investors sell the properties before getting the deed which the city mails to you in 6-8 weeks.
Can someone answer that question for me. Thanks.

Explanations?
March 16th, 2016 | posted by REIShrumHey all,
So I wanted to look into tax liens as a "side business" once I get my real estate wholesaling up and running. Basically just once I get some money to buy tax liens. Now, I live in California, and I am aware that CA doesn't do tax liens. But I've heard from some reliable sources that I can still buy tax liens in certain other states. I know that some states require that you live within that state to buy tax liens, such as Texas.
Anyways, I was just hoping that someone could explain the tax lien process to me? I really don't know much about it, but am interested. Also, could you point me in the direction of a state that would allow me to buy tax liens, and where to find said tax liens?
Thank you!

February 20th, 2015 | posted by bradupnorthI have heard about tax sales but never looked at the potential in detail but a friend just informed me that someone he knows inherited his parents home and because there are back taxes due he plans on just walking away. There is about 30 days until the county steps in and takes the property. (three years of taxes) I have tried tracking him down but he has left the area and the neighbor says he has not been at the house in six months. SEV on it is 80k. Looks pretty good from the outside but not sure on the inside but with that much upside it doesn't really matter. It is in town and sits on a bluff overlooking the river.
