Goals for the new year - knowing your options

Goals for the new year - knowing your options

With the New Year around the corner, I am reflecting back from where I have come and also where I will go.

I used to be just the sum of what experiences I have had and no more. That has changed since reading Dean's books and frequenting this website.

I am now not only the sum of what I have and am experiencing. I also draw on the possibilities of what my experiences can be. This makes me happy.

How many deals can I do next year? How much closer will I be to my goals and dreams? How nice is it going to feel when I earn that new bathroom with the Jacuzzi tub?

It's easy to get caught in that trap of what hasn't been done, etc. Don't you do that. Catch yourself and look up, keep learning, take a step if you are new, take a step up if you have been doing this for a while.

In regards to knowing your options, we have a great resource right here. And I'm going to prove it with a request for ideas on two houses I own outright. What is the best way to go about contacting a lender about getting a mortgage on some of the equity? They are in another part of the country than I. Do I approach a lender in that state or my own? Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Wishing you all a year that holds what YOU want it to hold.

Wendy

Hi Wendy I think it will

Hi Wendy

I think it will depend on what state your houses are located in.Some lender will not lend across state lines. Other thing is getting a true market value from an out of state lender. You also have to remember that they will need an inspection, and appraisal which gets harder working out state, plus the extra cost. Just a few things to keep in mind.

Good point

I guess I won't know until I start to ask. They are in ND. I have an inspector I work with regularly there. He would easily reinspect for a discounted rate. The cost could be minimal if it means getting money to do more RE deals with and get a small loan at a fixed rate instead of the adjustable HELOC I have. Again results require action, so I will make some calls.

The difference

between those who have what I want and those who don't is that the first didn't give up when things got tough and they actually started in the first place. I may need to refocus from time to time but I will not give up.

Never give up!

Never give up!

NEVER GIVE UP!

Willow

That's the right attitude. Don't EVER give up!
Happy New Year

Willow

I would get in touch with a local mortgage broker and see if he can help you in another state. Most of the time they work with national lenders.

Excellent idea. I'm going to do just that.

What are your goals for the new year?
