I have recently found a home that I think would be a great investment property (distressed). However, I am finding it hard to find out who actually owns it.
Anyone have any insight for me?

Have you tried looking the house up on the county website??
Yes I did but it seems like our county operates on a milatary level (Top Secret)

There's no reason for them to hide the information from you, its public information. Go to property assessor's website were the property is located and enter in the information (i.e. street address) you have on the property. The office that handles the tax assessments (for tax purposes) will have the owner's property tax deed information, telling you who owns the property and what their annual taxes are, on their records online.
