I'm looking for marketing sources. I want to know the best place to have postcards and mailers sent from cheap and good? anyone using a website that is reasonable and dependable?

I always had this sign posted in my previous service related business.

THREE WAYS TO HAVE YOUR WORK DONE:

Cheap - Won't be good
Fast - Won't be Cheap
Good - Won't be cheap or fast

Kind of humorous but a lot of truth to it.

National tracking data from all sorts of companies that use mailers reflect a 2% response rate as a successful campaign. Those are responses, not purchases.

I know this to be a fact in my REI business. Phone calls, face to face meetings at REI clubs and auctions and door knocking are way way more productive than ANY mailing campaign. We do it all(75 to 100 letters a week) but to depend on just mailers won't work in my opinion. Unless you are sending out 10s of thousands of mailers. It is our least effective marketing strategy. It is also the easiest.(any correlation there?)

Good Luck!

Thanks

Great info thanks. I was thinking that i hear so much up and down about the direct mailers. I was thinking about chasing some probates but if I just waited 60 days I think tracking them down and calling may be better? I'm just tossing and turning with ideas and Not taking action to do them I need to create a marketing machine that works for me but I'm getting dizzy thinking about it. i want to have a marketing machine that is constant that i can repeat.

info

a couple months ago I was on listsource but i was overwhelmed with how to get the right results what filters should I set I set ones i thought i wanted and I got like 2k leads and that would have cost a lot to buy and mail to seems so expensive to start a direct mail campaign. just need help starting a constant buisness campaign I would love a partner to share ideas and goals with but its just me I gota figure this out

Sam

I tried a huge mail campaign for several months, sending 2,000-3,000 flyers and postcards each time. I did it by bulk mail but it still cost me a fortune and was a major waste of time and money.

Bandit signs still seem to be one of the best and cheapest ways to market. But this is just one way. Michael also gives a number of other ways that are successful.

I agree with Karen

My Bandit signs are still bringing in leads for me. In fact, I have more than I can handle at times. I use letters and such, when I am targeting for a specific house and looking for buyer, or looking for homeowners for vacant homes.

something else

Another thing that has worked for me a lot is going to foreclosure auctions and networking with the investors there. they have to have cash to do those so normally I get some good buyers in my contacts.

bandit signs

Hi Guys,

Bandit signs are obviously an inexpensive marketing tool. Does anyone have any suggestions to how I might be able to get some put up even though I live in Australia?

I thought of trying Craigslist to employ someone, but, I would have to get signs delivered to them and how would I know if they actually put up the signs?

Cheers,
John
