OfflineI put a ghost ad up on craigslist to attract potential buyers and I got one response so far from a possible buyer. I also got a response from a local agent.
I've been looking for a good agent because the ones in the past didn't work out, and was surprised when I talked with him on the phone he basically said all of the right things about all the questions I had for him before I even asked! He works with investors, has done many assignments and double closings, works with a title company that does both of those and will close just about anywhere etc.
Has anyone else gotten replies on CL like this? This is the last place I thought to look for an agent.

I met my agent through a lady I did a rehab for.I found out last night,this lady I met a lady on a dating web site & she works with the realtor association in a town not to far from me,its crazy how things come together.

Glen congrats man you just might have found a potential goldmine. The only thing better than an agent who wholesales himself is a broker who wholesales! =)
Odds are he has a really good buyers list and knows this business through and through in your area. This agent can definitely guide you to success and you can both make a lot of money together! I have 2 brokers in my area who sell some of my deals and we make a lot of money together!

This guy could just as easily be telling you exactly what you want to hear to get you to write him a check. "Sure I can double close, I do that all the time! (hangs up phone) Hey Larry, WTH is a double close?" I've never been around to hear that conversation, but you can bet your next paycheck it happens every day. The more someone sounds like they're exactly what you're looking for, the more cautious you should be. It applies in love, it DEFINITELY applies in REI. Just don't be so cautious that you do nothing, because that's worse than making a mistake or meeting someone you don't need. Sounds like you need to either test his sincerity, or if you feel that confident about him, put him to work right away. It'll be the only way to figure out if he's for real or not. I hope he is. Good indication if you found him on Craigslist ,that he or she is a go-getter, just make sure you discuss how YOU do things and if they can work with you.

You never know what kinds of results you will get from different marketing techniques. I'm really happy that you found an agent so quickly that way. Working with this agents will be the next step but it's a great start. I have students that have quick and great success on craigslist and other who have terrible results on craigslist. Keep working hard. You are doing great! Congratulations on a little quick success!
