Hello everyone,
I have been reading everyone's journey for a long time now. I think it's about time I make a journal of my own just so I can motivate myself and hear from other DGers. I want to do wholesales and finder's fee.
I have tried a couple of things in the past as far as far as finding motivated sellers. And I can say that some things does not work in my area.
bandit signs= had to take my signs down due to complaints & violation of city codes
craigslist=swamp with investors & RE agents
thrifty nickel=had ppl called but mostly had no equity, located in areas that my buyers weren't interested (but I'm keep trying this method)
calling For Rents signs=most of them are investors in my area
OK. So those are the things that I have tried. Now, what I have not tried is door knocking and cruising for yard sales. I think the reason is that I'm afraid to talk to people face to face. Yikes. I know I shouldn't be. But that's my fear and I'm gonna have to get over it.
I do not have problem finding buyers. They are everywhere. I found them on craiglist and in REI clubs. What I will do next:
-get expired listings( send them a letter)
-cruising for yard sales this weekend
Ok it's past midnight. I'm going to sleep. Goodnight.
congratulations on starting your journal; it is a huge step, and you will find out that the more you write on it, the more things you will be doing with your rei. It will also help you get passed the fear of talking face to face with people because you will become more confident as you write about your challenges and accomplishments.
wishing you great success,
Valerie

Thanks Valerie!
I find it exciting when I get a comment or feedback on my posts. And writing in this journal makes me feel like I can keep track of my goals and hold myself responsible for them.
