I NEED HELP WITH MY BANDIT SIGNS

You get plastic cable ties at the hardware store in all different lengths. You can punch a couple holes in the sign and and tie them on poles.... or staple them on telephone poles.

Also, I buy signs without those metal stakes because here in AZ the ground is as hard as a rock and you can't push them in. If you buy roofing nails and wooden stakes, you an nail the sign to the stake (leave about 1/2 in at the top so you can pound the sign into the ground) and then you have a sturdier sign.

The first time I put up signs I had about 14 up all around a few neighborhoods and within 2 weeks they were all taken down. I only got 2 calls that lead no where. Not too encouraging. I'm going to try again soon.

here's what i've done. Three lines: We buy Houses! Any Condition (then GV number. Put 20-25 signs out at a time and see where the calls come from, use a lead sheet to keep track of caller info and which signs calls come from, if no calls then try different area/intersections.

Since I'm disabled and it is hard for me to put up bandit signs Friday and take them down Sunday night and i'm not at a point to pay someone $10 hr to put them up for me. I get a ladder and nail them to telephone poles at busy intersections, Home depots/walmarts/mcDonalds/shopping malls (2 nails to keep signs from bending in wind) or zip tie them to light poles up high so they are hard to get down (disclaimer: people have been fined for bandit sign by the city, so use google voice or magic jack and do at your own risk...) others i know have used sign staple/nail pole hangers (google it) so you don't have to use a ladder.

I started with my first signs getting calls asking if i bought HORSES!! So make sure the writing is clear and don't be discouraged, stay with it!

I closed a deal in October with my bandit signs that I put up in April! She called in May and I maintained the relationship so when she was ready to sell she called me and I was able to make $8500.

Keep working the signs and deals will happen!

Thanks for your sharing these tips with me. I'm glad I know what it is called. First thing Monday morning, I will be ordering the plastic cable ties, the ones with more length so I can be able to untie them when whenever I want to remove the signs.

Yup that happened to me before. I think these city people who take them off usually work on a specific time during the weekdays in my area like around 11am -4pm or something like that. The reason why I said so is because, since I started putting out my signs in the morning and evening, they haven't been removed, which is good.

I think bandit signs is alll about being consistent with them. These people might see it for the first or second or third time and won't call. Then the fourth or fifth time which they see it and they will be motivated to call.

I appreciate you sharing such a good tip. The place which I placed my sign was the same place were I got lots of leads for my buyers. I know since I was able to get lots of leads in that location, I can get sellers as well in the same area. I didnt put out 20-25 this time around. I only put out 3 signs which I could afford but i will buy 2 or 3 more tomorrow morning.

Actually I forgot to share how I got a lead from this old man (72 years of age). I had walked into his store with it and he saw the sign and that was how I got him. I will share more of the story in my journal later tonight. Oh yeah I usually use permanent maker which I got from the dollar store to write it boldly.

Congrats on your deal you did. how is cool is that:)...I have another great question, what do I use to remove what I wrote on my bandit sign since I already made use of the other side of the bandit sign? Is there any special kind of chemical which I could use?

When you use the cable ties, the only way to get them undone is to cut them. They will not release or untie. Cannot be reused. You can also buy them at any Lowe's, Home Depot or home improvement or hardware store.

Permanent marker cannot be removed from the sign once it is on there. That is why it is called permanent...

If you do go the route of nailing them, make sure you noted that mbjoseph said "roofing nails". They are nails that have a round plastic disc that keeps the nail from pulling thru the sign in the wind. Again, a home improvement or hardware store.
