I just wanted to know if anyone has used Legal Zoom to create a LLC. Is it legit and are they a reputable company?

I used them once. It was okay-a bit PRICEY! I created my own for free as compared to paying them (or others like them)a lump sum! I paid them to copyrite a book for me.
I later created my own LLC (to publish my book) on my own...the directions are all on the web.
The (additional)fees for submitting your LLC to your state are not only minimal but almost instant(online),
That was three years ago, so hopefully, nothing dramatic has changed...
good luck!
.....and YES, they ARE legit! Used to be run by OJ's attorney (forgot his name just now---was it Shapiro?).

..and since it was my first LLC I figured I'd pay them to do it ($300+), rather than risk making a mistake or spend time doing it myself.
They set it up & forwarded the paperwork, plus they send me alerts about upcoming issues like tax filing deadlines, etc.
IMO, if you can afford to, then do it- its a good deal.
Persist...until.

Wow I didn't know they were that expensive! I thought their site was advertising $99.00. There must be all kinds of hidden fees.

I tried to set up my LLC with them but I never received my paperwork in the mail. After a few persistent phone calls I finally got them to just email the documents to me but it was a minor headache.. I probably wont use them again.

FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!!
I used them for every single one of my LLC's
They are pricey per se, but its because they do all the work for you and get you the stuff pronto,.....at extra cost of course
LegalZoom charges $99 to do a basic LLC - that means doing the paperwork. Then your state will charge a filing fee - in TX it's $300. Different states have different fees. Then you are required to have an agent or representitive for your LLC and LegalZoom will charge you $159 per year for that, although you can choose another attorney to be your agent if you wish.

I used them to set up my LLC; I figured I would like it to be done right, so I called them several times before I actually did it; they were very helpful, answered any questions I had, and were not pushy at all, so I liked that.
they charge $99, but there are additional fees that they collect for payment to the state, and extra if you use them as your agent (where your legal documents can be sent to)
Overall, I recommend you use them.
Wishing you success,
Valerie
