Just to clarify and that I am too a complete "work in progress and a constant rehab and renovation". I continually grow, adjust and plan daily. I am posting this to maybe spark and idea in someone else that is struggling as to what I have found assist me.
I get a lot of "can't believe you still work a full time job, or how do you manage to do what you do, or I'm to busy to do anything" else, etc, etc. Well I understand where they are coming from, but we all have to realize we ALL are at different levels, reached different levels of success, and have our own things going on in our lives searching for a balance. BUT what we all have in common is we ALL have 24 hrs. in day.
This business or any venture you undertake with business or personal will require some changes. You WILL have to make some sacrifices. Meaning people, places and things in your life may have to go. You have to decide how bad you want it and then 'skim the fat' so to speak. In some cases you have to put efforts into "un-doing" some things. Replace negative habits with positives, cut out time wasters, implement self control, self discipline and self mastery.
Some things that help me that maybe you can use or take a spin off of. This is me you can adjust to fit you.
Wake up 2 hrs. earlier each morning. Your first few hours are the "rudder of the day". Spend 1 hr. on personal growth readying and studying. I also do cardio (work-on physical me) which is why my up early time is 2 hrs. (train your mind, train your body)
Re-write 10 goals daily without looking back at what you wrote the previous day. Written in present tense (as if already acquired)
Do normal daily routine, then off to work. On the commute (45 miles one way) I listen to audio teachings. I've listen to Dean's Think A Little Different a thousand time. Adding to my inventory of other authors, topics to include: success principles, leadership, sales, personal growth, etc.
7:30-5:30 work. during break and lunches make calls, appointments, errands, etc.
After work, I'll return calls I missed from lunch to 5:30. Then either meetings, site properties, network, etc. (ea. evening activities are based on the focus day) I plan my week out on Sunday and revised/adjust each days activitiess the night before)
I break my days down into focus days. 2 days marketing/ads, 2 days: leads, 2 days buyers (i call it chasing money day), 1 day catch up/rest.
5 days a week I double train (am and pm workouts.)
Plus balancing work, business, single mom plus activities son's involved in (he's runner and competitive swimmer as a well as academically: National Junior Honors Society, etc.).
YOU can do it if you plan and prepare.
Every morning on my way to work I have typed, printed and taped to my planner (also beside my computer at home). I speak (it loudly and with passion and desire) these exact words each 3-5 times and repeat 2 x before arriving to work.
-Protect my mind, protect my time
-The world can't deny someone who want be denied! Don't be denied Jen
-Schedule Change
-Nothing happens until I take action!
-Take action everyday
-Persist and persevere until I succeed.
-Failure is NOT an option
-I AM RESPONSIBLE
-If it is to be, it is up to me
-No EXCUSES
-Never Give Up
-Do WHATEVER it takes
-I can do ANYTHING I set my mind to
-ANYTHING is possible
-I AM destined for greatness.
-I love meeting and talking with new people
-I am confident and successful
-Everything I put my hand to multiples and prospers
You have to replace the negative self talk, the negative things you were told or told yourself up to this point and REPLACE with positives.
Identify the negatives as lies and today you are going to prove them so!! THEN DO IT!
It's once I realized I am responsible for where I am and where I am going that will allow me to stop making excuses and push through the pain. Every challenge that comes up say "I AM RESPONSIBLE" then get a paper towel and clean up the mess and move on!
Hope someone finds a nugget worth while for them to assist in changing their life.
God bless,
Jen
Jen,
your post is very inspirational-thank you for taking the time to write it and for sharing it with us. I too believe that we can accomplish anything we set ourselves to do; it may take effort, energy, time, and being committed, but it is all worth it. And yes, our body and mind have to be in harmony.
Wishing you success,
Valerie

Thank you for encouraging us every time you post. It's almost like getting a breath of fresh air. From your journal and previous posts, you have come a long way from where you started. Keep all the positive energy going, and don't ever let somebody tell you that you can't do it, when you know you can.

Thank you Valerie and Dallas.
Way I figure it, there is already WAY to much negative in the world to ever add to it!
Words or encouragement or words of criticism same efforts go into each. One builds and one can cut or destroy. Why not make the choice to build? We never have the right to make another person feel small.
Many blessing to you!
Jen
I think I want a box of what you're eating because you have it goin' on!! I could have only hoped to have had as much energy as you have when I was starting out. You are a force to be reckoned with. Never change your focus.
