hi im just curious if anyone has done deals via ebay cause i hear all the time about craigslist and i look at ebay all the time and just see all these possible deals that could go on but they require funny things such as money wire transfers within 24 hours of purchase to close and your name and what not... now i know some of you maybe saying "dont do those deals cause they are scammers using ebay and real estate to ruin your life" i was just cuirous about whether you guys use ebay any if at all???

A lot of homes selling on eBay are homes that were bought in bulk by investors, and now they're just trying to make some profit. Some seem to be good deals if you are lucky enough to win the bid. The last 20 seconds of the auction is really what counts. Usually you could tell the better deals by the number of bidders. But you got to watch out for some....ask the seller lots of questions, and stay away from the sellers who don't reply back. Make sure you find out about the title and if there are any liens or back taxes due. You'll notice most of the homes are from the Detroit area and other hard hit areas. The best thing to do is put the homes that interest you on your watch list and watch the whole auction and what it ends up selling for. Do that for a few months to get a feel of it. I actually purchased a nice piece of property in a gated community in the Poconos for like $300. It was surveyed already and is quite beautiful. All I got to do is get it perk tested, and hopefully be.able to build on it in the near future. So you really can find a deal, you just got to watch out for some sellers. I hope I was able to help.

You can either look for opportunities or make them.

I like Ebay, but I would be dilligent with any real estate transaction, whether it's done through Ebay, or Craigslist, or even in person...
wishing you great success,
