In the contract you sent over with your offer it should have a time stated on there when they have to accept or reject your offer. If there was not a date put then it is left open unless the contract has a default date.
I would review your contract and see if a date was put on there. If not then you can choose to pull your offer after a certain amount of time.

Candace,
if the property is an REO, then it could be anywhere from 4 days to 5 weeks.
The bank may have many foreclosures, different departments to review them...
Your realtor should follow up with the REO agent on a regular basis...
wishing you great success,
valerie

If you had an agent put in an offer, follow up with the agent. There should be dates on the contracts and your agent should know the dates and be able to follow up with the seller. You just need to stay on top of your agent.

I wouldn't patiently wait. All your offers need to have deadlines, so the bank actually has to do something about your offers. Keep adding to your buyers list, find other deals and work on them. Then when they get back to you, work on it.
