To start the year off I thought I would ask the simple question, How bad do you want this?
What have you done that is completely out of your comfort range and how has it affected your success?
Here's my story to start, It was the end of last February that I went to a local rei seminar. I was so pumped up to go. Once there I was immediately soaking it up, I could just feel it, this is for me. So I paid $500 to get some education material and go to another 3 day seminar at the end of March. I can still hear my wife wanting to kill me when I called her and told her I just put down the money. But still, I was so excited, the last weekend in March couldn't get here soon enough. Finally, it was here. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about something. Anyway, by the end of the two days I had learned so much and also learned just how much I didn't know. Well... needless to say by the end of the second day the instructor gave us the option to go on with continued education, but it was expensive, very expensive. I didn't know what I was going to do. I wanted it soooo bad. We had to find a way to finance it by the next day, I didn't feel I had any options. Nobody in my family had money, I don't have any balance left on my credit cards, I felt hopeless! But I was determined! I asked myself how bad do I want this and what am I willing to do to get it? At the end of the day I took the phone and started calling everyone I knew to come up with 10k or more( 10k was the cheapest class). I was calling old bosses, parents of old friends, family, friends, uncles, neighbors etc.
The only one that would do anything for me was my dear mom... she offered $100 to be put on her credit card( I'm tearing up just thinking about it). Obviously that amount wasn't going to do anything. At the end of the seminar and seeing the others more fortunate it broke my heart to not be able to do it. After going back home and having a couple days to reflect on it I realized I took what was probably the most important step I'll ever take. I took action, got out of my comfort zone and made all those crazy calls because I wanted it so bad. To say the least it paid off, BIG! within a couple months one of the guys I met at the seminar asked me to partner up with him cause he could see the fire in my eyes, and a couple months after that we were on to our first property. By the end of this year my networth should be at least 500k.
I know this was long but please share your own story.
God bless
This is a very touching and rousing story for everyone to remember. You can do this business if you do not give in to the tempation to give up.
I love the determination demonstrated by this story. You can do this. Keep trying and keep looking. You have the same 24 hours evey day that everyone else has and how you use it will make you successful or not.
Have a great new year with much success.

In reference to post #3.
This is your thunder (forum). Thank you for the invite. So to make it passive and short. The 3 good grateful things are I have food, clothes, shelter & plus. Determination : My annuity is running out and there is NOTHING else to substitute it. It has gotten to be desperation time. Foresight to save yes. But went not by happy choices.
