First I would like to thank all who responded to an earlier thread I had started about looking for a home in Georgia. Major things have changed in Rick and I's life, we are going to be first time grandparents, and are so excited, which brings me to this new thread. There is no way I am moving out of state now that I will be a grandma. Rick and I want to live near our daughter who lives in Lancaster California. Rick is still being forced into retirement, and I'm sure you know how expensive California is, so now were concentrating our efforts in finding a home in the Antelope Valley area, Rosamond, Tehachapi or Frazier Park. If anyone has property or knows someone who would like to speak to us, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for responding, and I apologize for the late answer. Rick will have to retiring by next July, so anytime after the first of the year. Do you have any information and locations of the homes you have. Right now Rick and I are trying to sell our motorhome to raise a downpayment. If we don't find something, we will be losing everything we have by the middle of next year. Thank you and your input would be greatly appreciated.

I have a new grandson (15 months old) and I know the feeling of wanting to be close! I live in Los Angeles, CA and my daughter and grandson live in Sacramento, CA so they are just a few hours away. I wouldn't dare live in another state! lol

Rick is being forced into early retirement at the age of 50 due to a traffic accident he was in 2 years ago, so our income will be going from $6,000 a month to about a $1,000. We will not be able to stay in our home, and the car and his motorcycle will have to go. This is not how we planned our retirement but unfortunate things happen to good people.
