Pre Foreclosure list

How do you obtain a preforclosure list. Can someone point me in the direction on the site where I can get this information

Go to the county(s) that you are working and find their lists of notices of default. May be called something else. Here in Colorado they are called the notice of election and demand. This is the first legal notice filed with the county showing the lenders intention to foreclose if payments are not caught up. You may find this info on the county website or you may have to go to the county courthouse in person.

Pre Forclosure list

Another thing you could try is go to a title company and ask if they have a current list of notice of defaults. I would talk to several different title companies to see what you can come up with.

Another place to check

Another place to check is your county library. (yes, really!)

I was with my attorney and asked him if there was an easy, free way to get foreclosure notices and he said they're posted on the bulletin board in the entrance of the library.

Take a camera and take pics of the pages, or "borrow" them for a minute and copy them on the library's copy machine.
