Hi there everyone!
I am brand new to this. I just ordered Dean's book today, and now waiting for it to start reading.. I have been looking into buying the book for about a week now. I must admit, I was hesatant. I am only 21years old, and currently unemployed.
I am still sceptical about all this. I have bad credit, no money, but PLENTY of spare time on my hands and looking for a new career that has a positive and life-long effects on my life. And I am young. I have alot of people doubting me on all of this because of these facts.
Is there any one that can give me some good starting advice, or motivation to get this all started. Or am I jumping in to far over my head because of me circumstances. I do understand that I need to read the book before I start asking questions, but I would just like to start this all off on a positive note. =)
p.s. I live in Florida..... If that helps anyone.. Could help me a little with advice if there are others in Florida that have / are currently doing this.
Thanks so much in advance!

Definitely read the book first when you get it! In the meantime, read through these forums. You will aborb a wealth of knowledge from everyone on the site and I guarantee you will feel encouraged and see from everyone's stories that REI is not just doable, but can change your life!
We are very glad to have you here, and I'm sure you will enjoy being a part of the DG family!
God bless,
Rina

First, let me welcome you to the DG family we're happy to have you here with us. Second, let me just say that age has NOTHING to do with investing. I know of two people that invested right out of high school and are both doing well in their own businesses a decade later! So it's nice to see you taking a chance on something you believe in. There's always risks in anything in life, but if you do your homework diligently you can become a successful investor, yes even at your age... LOL! We have lots of new people here that are your age and younger. So we always welcome young people with ambitions and encourage them to go for it! Many of us here have heard from the nay sayers in our lives, trust me. I silenced mine when I showed them the check from my first deal. That was a SUWEET feeling! LOL! If I did it YOU can too. Read through the forums and posts carefully before you start a new topic, chances are they're already on here. Best of luck to you and we look forward to your success!
God bless you,
Elena

Welcome to the DG fam!(big hugs) Im new to the family as well darlings and i feel sooo at home! The first person to greet me was ELENA!!!! she is awsome! Im 28 years old but i look like im 18! heheh. As long as you are confident and you have that fire everyone will take you seriously. Dont worry
I ordered my book on Sept 11th got it on the 13th and i just finished the book yesterday sept 18. I recomend you read the book over and over. I never read a book only once. Your brain doesnt work that way. you have to keep reading over and over to make your brain get the info and mark it in your memory bank.
Dont worry what the negitive people are telling you. You ask yourself when they say something negitive. "how much money are they making" no no better yet "how much knowledge do they have about realestate and to they have any property?" as questions to the people that already have gone down the path that you are going. Believe me Tiff you are at the right place i hope to hear from you
your new friend Ms Harris
Yes, you were greeted by one awesome REI lady! Lena's got experience, knowledge and LOTS of charisma! (AND she's willing to let it rub off on a person. ) Follow her posts and you'll learn a ton.
Anyway, it's good to have you join us. Sounds like you're pretty outgoing yourself! That will take you a long way in your REI. I look forward to hearing good things from you!
Wishing you much success,
Rina
