I have recently looked on ebay for investment properties just to see what was available and I must ask... is this for real?
There were properties on there with a starting bid of $100.00 and they were nice properties, 2 unit and 3 unit properties. How and why would someone want to sell their property on ebay?

I know that alot and prob most of the properties have 100s if not 1000s of back taxes or liens on the property... Just have to do your due diligence when bidding on a property on ebay... Always possible to find a good deal on there though!!
Good luck
Shaun
I checked ebay for RE in my area. Looked like some good buys, but when I read the fine print, there was either a reserve or you won the right to negotiate a deal with the seller. You did not necessarily get the property for your bid amount. I did not read them all, so some may have different terms. May be some good leads though. They probably are motivated.

Al and Shaun are right. I have also checked the ebay props in my area, and believe me there is more there for further investigating. If it looks to good to be true...yada yada yada....Jan
Everyone's correct, there is a reserve, there could be back taxes. Do your due diligence as well, have someone check out the property in person, READ all the fine print carefully, ask the seller questions prior to bidding. Like Jan says if it looks to good to be true, it usually is!

Not only that but, a lot of the properties that are on e-bay have a certain amount of days left on the bidding process(i believe it's 5 days), so naturally if you see that a property's only @ $100.00 bucks check how many days are left, because normally the property will stay at a bargain until the last day, then it gets bid up like CRAZY! So, what was initially a good deal now is NOT a good deal,

I looked at forclosure properties on E-bay. What I found was most said no reserve and advertied a clear title. I would still do my due diligence, but there can be some potential deals to find in there. Just go to Ebay and search forclosures.

Looks like there may be some good deals to be made in Ohio on ebay the next couple of days (a few end tonight), several by the same seller. If I lived closer I'd sure be checking them out (checking them out BEFORE bidding).

Wow Rina they look to good to be true. I looked for NJ and found nothing. If I lived in Ohio I would sure look into them.
How would someone look into the deal to see if it is legit?

So wonder how this is going to work? I don't think you be able to assign these deals would you? I mean cause you are legally bond to buy the property if you are the winning bidder? So guess you need to make sure you have the funds before you even bid on it...
What do you guys think?
