Back on the Road......

Oh my! So much to do today but the van is on the road and that saves us a lot of time and hassle. My regular work week is over (thank goodness) and I can concentrate on my new addiction....Real Estate! This week we are moving forward in our searches! I have a buyer's list and I am making phone calls! Gonna touch basis with people on my Buyer's list and do some house hunting to go ahead and make bids. I am having a little trouble finding a partner in the Oregon area....not to necessarily do deals but to tell me when I'm slacking off when I am. My schedule gets very busy with three kids (one disabled) and two grandkids and of course, my wonderful husband who keeps saying things like: "I thought you wanted to try Real Estate Investing?" And we are going to do it!

A bit of a bumpy week

We are having a bit of a bumpy week. Now the van has broke down again and I have to cancel my appoinment with the lender until next week. There is so much going on this week it is not a good time for a vehicle to break down. Ho hum. I will get past this one too.

So I ran into a glitch....things could be worse!

I lost my wonderful guy today. The Broker that's been helping me got his dream job with a company where he can only show me houses that they sell. While I am happy that he is now happy and working on his dream, it left me without an agent. Then, I looked further down his email and he left me referrals of agents, Brokers, Lenders, and Lists of houses every where. He also referred me to one of his people whom he says would be more than happy to help me seek out my dreams too! I think that's pretty cool but I'll miss the invisible person behind his emails that always said, "Go get 'em Tiger" at the end of them.

This guy is so great!

I have found this broker that is helping me out. He is such a great guy and took it upon himself to email agents to help me find someone. He's also sent me all the lists I've needed and then asks me if I need anything else all I have to do is ask! He is soooo awesome!
I have a meeting with a lender on Wednesday and I am sooo excited! See, I'm not only looking for houses to sell I am also looking for my dream house. So I have to work on that too!
I've had nothing but support from my family. My husbands a little bit cinical and distrusting and I'm trying to win him over but he is supporting me with every step I take.
Which is just wonderful!
Most of my friends just wish me luck and others tell me about their houses and their dreams. It's nice to know about everyone's dreams!

Ok, it's like this........

I have a friend who has got a manufactured home here in Salem. It's a five bedroom and two bathroom. He just wants to get rid of his mortgage payment and him and his wife just want to get out and do the retired stuff like traveling and being with grandkids and stuff. I'm going to have him sign the contract over in my name and put the home up for rent, section 8 housing okay. I figure if I do this I can get a renter in there in less than two weeks and have money in pocket. It's what I want to do. I want to buy homes for section 8 renters and take care of families who have children. I figure it's a good idea and maybe get some use out of a manufactured home! Smiling I was also wondering if there is anyone out there who is also from Oregon?

I'm going to do this!

I got my book yesterday! Finally!
