Is Your Real Estate Investment Marketing Evolving?
Real estate investors have many choices for the types of properties in which they invest, and also in their strategies, from bird-dogging through wholesaling, flipping and buy-and-hold. Each of the available strategies can involve different marketing methods as well. Some investors do very little marketing, but many very successful people use a combination of traditional and Internet marketing tools to build their buyer and seller lists and to generate deals.
Today we’re going to take a look at the evolution of Google+ and how it could be one of the most effective tools for marketing related to every type of real estate investment. Recent articles on business and marketing websites tell us that Google+, in just over two years, is now surpassing Twitter in active users. One article boldly predicts that the service will surpass Facebook in social shares by 2016. That’s major, as Facebook still has a significantly higher user base than Google+, the second most used social site.
With this kind of growth, and a totally free service, every real estate investor doing any kind of online marketing, or wanting to, should take a close look at Google+. Of course, you’ll want a personal profile there, and you can use it for purely personal communications, or you can use it for real estate investment activities. However, the real power will be yours if you use one or both of these services: Google+ Pages or Communities.
Google+ Pages
Think of a Google+ Page as your business blogging place. Even if you already have a website or blog, Google makes it fast and easy to post on your Page, even posting summaries and linking them to your website or blog. You can have a detailed description of your business, what you do, and how you serve buyers and sellers. It’s more of a public presence to broadcast to the world what you do and how you do it.
Google+ Communities
Actually, there are a great many similarities between Communities and Pages, but a Community is more of a social sharing network. People interested in the topic or basic subject matter of the community can join and post to it. You can post about your business, answer questions, and more. Better yet, build a community for YourTown renters. The major difference is that when someone posts to the community, you get a notification so that you can respond if appropriate.
If you’re using Facebook, keep doing so. However, check out Google+ and set up your own pages or communities for the future and lots of lead generation.
