Always use the county records to check up on properties and their tax status. I always seem to know more than my broker about the tax issues of a given property. A house I just put an offer on has 18K in back taxes......I added to my addendum that seller pays ALL of that. Just be aware that there are tools that you should get used to using to help you evaluate the status and value of a given property.
