This week Dean reveals how to have the confidence of Kings and Queens.
You'll learn why it is important to tell people the real reason you're in real estate.
Why not to make excuses when people doubt you, and how to change your future by changing what you tell others.
Watch and see why what you say to others, is what you ultimately believe about yourself. Enjoy.
PS- This marks the end of the second full year of the weekly video blogs. Thank you all for watching and making this site and the blogs such a success!
Faking It?
Is it faking it or is it taking that big step, scared or not to jump! Before going on that jump, there were some things I had to resolve before doing so. One of them was making a decision about the job I had. I decided to retire. There is some money: pension, and social security. Bills were addressed before making this commitment and I sacrificed a lot to make sure that this won't be an excuse not to retire. I weighed the pros and cons of the job and what was happening there and decided that it would be detrimental to stay. Our salaries were cut, vacation time was cut, pension was stifled, and everything was in shambles. We were constantly threatened with layoffs and you know, I said to myself that this will kill me quicker than anything else if I stayed. I am leaving on retirement January 2, 2011. If there is synchronicity, then it happened to me. All fell in place this December, including a Christmas and New Year's vacation that I was never able to get.
I plan to take January off to rest and read, read, read my real estate books, again, unhampered by fatigue, night work and long, long hours and a horrible commute. With the energy I will regain I should be up and jumping in February or March.
Dean thank you for keeping me stimulated by your blogs that always seem to personally be addressed to me.
I'll make it.

Preach Dean We Need to Hear That
Nice Dean,
We need to hear that, we dont have to tell some that we want to have a better life and make an excuse about it. This country is the land of opportunity and success, and if we are in this country and dont take advantage of the business opportunities that are offered in this country we are in a bad state. I came from another country and became a citizen and I love this country, real estate is a great way to become financially free, and it is my goal to, get free using this market. Happy Thanksgiving, thank you Dean.
thank you dean !!!
yes we need to tell our story to reinforce our mindset to keep learning and believe what we know is is the path to financial freedom or to get out of the rat race !! i know personally that when i tell people what i have learned through you and want to share that knowledge that i feel such an empowerment to help others ....it just snowballs into the so called luck people talk about.its not luck it is laboring under correct knowledge.it is taking action with what we learn and telling the story just builds that confidence inside our minds AND the RESULTS show on the outside !!!!!
keep those blogs coming because that is what builds my determination and the inspiration to help others.

Dean, Thanks for continuing
Dean,
Thanks for continuing to encourage, support and guide us thru to the next level. Just being who you are and sharing of yourself when you could be doing so many other things, is truly a blessing within itself. Blessings!
Thanks to you!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your lovely family! I got to spend 1 on 1 time with my "baby" son who is now 22! : ) My reasons for being a Real Estate investor are to provide for my and my family's future. My son wants to be a minister, and my daughter wants to be a performer, so I would love to be in a position to support their goals. I also want to have a very comfortable retirement. I intend to travel a LOT! Thanks for all you do to encourage us and train us to be successful. We appreciate you!
Thanks Dean!
Dean, I just saw your new blog and it has inspired me to stop letting family members discourage me from pursuing my dream of being independent. They ask me on a daily basis "why am I doing this real estate thing, it wont work" my inner ear tells me to just keep doing what I am doing and I will be successful. I am getting negativity all the time, but now I am taking charge and doing things my way. Thanks Dean for your emails, they keep me on the right track.
Thanks Dean!

What you say is powerful
I have been there making money and if it were not for me being talked into selling my rentals and putting them in a investment of which I lost control and the CEO's stole all of it I would be a millionaire today.
Now I am starting over and with 2 accidents ( and no settlements) and all my money gone I am having a very hard time.
I have a Lamborghini replica that is not completed but is a running car, that I need to sell and I can pay off some debts and be in better control. Anyone know of someone that wants a car that finished it is BETTER than the real one as it has a Corvette engine? It only has body work, paint job and lights and windows needed. I will sell for $10,000 LESS than I have in it.... I live in Florida.
But right now I need to concentrate on how I will get a new deal as right now my credit that was flawless is bad as I can't pay credit cards.
I need prayer as I know that changes all things. I have an encouraging church though and that keeps me going.
I know it will turn around and I hope soon enough to take advantage of all the bargins out there. Anyone in Florida wanting to get together to make deals?
Love This
I like the idea of faking it to you make it. Its a state of mind. I think it is important to honest with yourself first then others around you.
Thanks Dean
Hi Dean! you make a difference to me and everyone else who follows your blogs. I am glad I took the time to view it. I slightly slipped into a slump and have been learning all I can, but haven't made the first moves I have to make. Your blog gives me the inspiration I need to take action. I'm committing to putting in the work and thank you for the great info, and motivation to make it happen.
I'm still a believer Dean
Dean, no excuses here. Much has happened to me to take me away from this for a time beyond my control. It has been a whirlwind of event including my computer crashing, half my income gone and in studies on a lime limit and car problems. It is old but still on the road. I think the Lord everyday for what he has given me.
People I know have needed unexpected emerancy help as well and family memebers in the hospital and the joy of taking care of my new grandson.
My mind has been mush just trying to make it now, but I am not going to give up here. Timing is everything! My son bought me a used laptop, which I am using now. Thank you Jesus!!! My online service has changed their coverage power system and for the amount of money I was paying lowered my ability to viewing any videos including on here. Rats, huh! I want to get the higher service, but I need to see the income to be able to proceed. I just got back being able to read my e-mails and I just read what you were going through with people and their angry, hurtul words. I am sorry that they have to blame others because of their lack of knowledge. I lack knowledge as well, but life is not a free ride, it takes work and sometimes it doesn't go as planned. Just do the best you can with what is dished out to you, something good will come from it if you keep thr right attitude even if you get slapped in the face from time to time.
In the mist of my storm I also have seen a lot of good, but you have to look for the good or you might miss it while dwelling on what you lost.
I'm not done here Dean. Just regrouping over the next few weeks. Soon I hope I will be able to view your blogs. Now back to your other e-mails. I had to stop to write you to keep up the good work for all that to give of yourself.
here's smiling at you in Chandler, AZ.
Blessings to you and your beautiful family!
I love this line!
We have been doing the fake it till we make it for a while and it makes a Big difference.
Thanks for the over view and support

Blog #104
Hi Dean
I tell people that I am in real estate because I think that I am good at selling houses even though I have never sold them before. When they ask why I say I lived in an Apartment for 10 years and hated every minute of it then found out the money that I was spending on rent I could be spending on buying a house. I then went house hunting with my husband on our own. Looking at all the houses with signs in the yards. I have been through the process and now I am learning all the skills to sell a house so now I am familiar with both ends of the buying and selling. I can find the house you are looking for at a good price and save you the hassle of running around looking. I can narrow it down to three and bet you will like one of the three you look at from what you tell me you want. I am not afraid to work and I want my customer to be happy with what they get. If I fake part of it till I make it it's because I don't know what I am doing and will find out what to do before I finalize it. When I saw your little ones I thought that was soooooo long ago.
Thanks again!
Another great one!
Peace and Blessings,
Sheila
Sorry this is Late
Dean as always Great Blog! You are always so intune to us. We all have had to tell our selves at one time or another that we can do it even if inside we where scared to death but did our best and guess what we did it and it didn't turn out so bad. And we did it over and over and every time it got better! What do they say it's just like riding a bike. once you do it it just gets better. THANKS FOR BELIEVING IN US.
HOPE YOU ALL HAD A HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY.

Great Timing
Hi Dean,
Thank you for your words of wisdom. Once again they came at the perfect time. My mom and I were talking and she asked how I was doing with my classes. It was the way she said it that made me ask why. She said when you first ordered the "Set For Life" program I couldn't peel you off the ceiling you were so excited and positive. It seems you have lost your enthusiasm. My mom has been one of my biggest supporters. I knew if she saw it, then anyone I am dealing with would see it.
Then came this weeks blog and I felt my shoulders go back and my smile come across my face and that "I CAN do this" spirit flooded back to me.
Thanks again Dean,
Lisa
Believing In Myself
Hey Dean i really like this video it hits to the point of believing in one's self and taking action. Well I did just that, Your team is here in Houston,Texas this week and I attended one of your seminars, I really didn't have the funds to purchase your training kit. but I looked at myself and said wint you've been to a lot of these seminars over the years and you walk out without taking action and you are still in the same place now that you were years ago when you fisrt started getting involved in real estate years ago so the truth of the matter is that I can not afford to miss this pportunity and let it pass so I took a leap of faith and used my mortgage payment to join your team and get the training i need to be successful in real estate. Because i'm ready for a change. my goal is to do my first deal within the next 30 to 45 days and then I'll have my money of which I need to catchup my mortgage payment and still have some money left over to pay some other bills. But my question to you is, that the training i'm to receive, is it from your success team or is this a different source of training from another group of people. I must succeed in this training because failing is not a option and I want to make sure that I have the best training available
to me possible so that I can make up my mortgage
payment. So there we are I'm ready to get started where do I go from here and what is the next step
since i realize that it wasn't that I couldn't afford it, the fact is that I could't not to have it and get the training of which I need, So now I'm depending on you and your team to hold my hand and guide me to being a very successful real estate investor. Steve did a great job in assuring us that this would happen if we took the first step and that is what I did.So now
i'm waiting on you all for the next step.
YOU ARE AMAZING DEAN!
Thank you for the ultimate encouragement in the RE language. I have not invested enough time in my RE time but personal growth is something that has been a priority to me. I've got the gain the edge 10 set and the techniques seem so do-able and it motivates me, but my confidence and self-esteem needs to be improved, WILL be improved. And this video is exactly what I need to reassure me that I can be successful in this business. Where would we be without you and others who think like you. Thank you thank you thank you.
Blessings to you and your family.
40% off
This is a great deal and I will try to take advantage of it. I am always looking for a bargain. If it is good enough then I grab it and hold on tight. I wish someone would grab one of my adds and hold on tight. Even just a nibble would be nice right now. I had a bite and they did not qualify so it was no go had to throw them back in. Maybe the next ones will qualify and I can play with them a little longer. I am just be sarcastic I get really depressed sometimes and have to look at it like a hook line and sinker. Thanks for the Offer and hope Santa will let me buy something new.
Buying and holding cash flow propertys
I'm no longer saying "I hope to buy a house soon for rental income." Instead "I know" I am buying a house as a rental investment soon. Only debate now is which one. No more hoping and putting it off. I am doing this. My only hold up to date has been financing. I am working through that. I plan on getting as many rental property's as can get funding for. This is not only a plan now. I'm doing it. Layman.
video blog #104
Dean, I am trying to find this video of carol Stinson showing her working out of her home using a phone, computer and I guess back then a fax machine.
Anyways I cannot seem to find it, but I keep watching your excellent video blogs by accident from almost three years ago.
I'm one of your slow bloomers of a student
I think you very correct in pointing to your
head and saying its up here what stops us and
not the teaching.
Thank you much!!
Thank you very much!
