Independent Woman turned Oregon REI

I am almost 40 years old and have been a single mom most of my boys lives. They are 18 and 20 and in their first year of college here in Oregon.

We have always struggled from paycheck to paycheck but I have always taken care of them well and taught them to be good people that others will respect.

I am living in Central Oregon now working in television advertising for the ABC affiliate. I have been in media sales for 15 years but have also tried many other adventures along the way, such as being a Realtor. I have also done property management.

When I saw Dean's infomercial I was hesitant the first couple of times to buy the books but each time I saw it it made me excited about what my future could look like. I thought to myself, I already know real estate language and terms, I have more time than I used to and I want to make money and help others.

I'm excited and scared all at the same time about this opportunity but need it so badly! I am a self motivated person and just need that first deal to help my confidence and move forward quickly.

I didn't think I would do this til next year but I have some family issues that have made it very important for me to get started. We have just found out that my dad has prostate cancer and before that my mom had just informed me that their house is in the foreclosure process and they are filing bankruptcy. I just couldn't believe that she had not told me sooner so maybe I could have helped them. My dad does not except help well so that is why she did not tell me.

If another REI reads this and would be willing to give me a little guidance I am willing to do the work.
