Hi everyone! I am Chuck, a guy in his early 40's living in the beautiful midwestern city of Quincy, Illinois with my wonderful wife and kids.
Quincy is a somewhat unique & isolated city of over 40,000 located on the majestic bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. On the map it is about 100 miles north of St. Louis, MO. What makes our community so beautiful and unique is that, unlike most river communities, Quincy cannot flood. This has allowed our city's historic architecture and beauty to remain well preserved.
Did I mention the word "isolated"? What I mean is that Quincy, IL is the largest community in nearly a 100 mile radius. We are surrounded by nothing more than farmland. This has made Quincy a very unique mecca for economic development in West Central Illinois.
Quincy is also just 20 minutes up river from the smaller (yet also unique) community of Hannibal, Missouri. Hannibal, if you are not already aware, was made famous by one of the greatest American writers of all time, Mark Twain. This is not only where he grew up and resided most of his life, but Mark Twain's stories like Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer were actually written in and about Hannibal.
These two communities, I believe, may be some of the most incredibly potential areas to invest in real estate due to the fact that there are so few real estate investors in this area.
