Thanks for all of your insights! Your Weekly wisdom reminds of the saying, “Change is stability,” and, lo and behold, this is exactly what you are advocating your followers to do. You seem to be a good example of this maxim. Doing things differently takes me out of my comfort zone like using my left hand to do something instead of my right hand which makes the task more difficult but in the process a new feeling occurs because I removed myself from my comfort zone. Perhaps the most important thing about effecting a change is to be complete about the change. I think we always want to feel good about getting things accomplished, and to that end I try to do a little of the numerous tasks on my To Do List each day.
Thanks for your advice to stop watching the news. As a matter of fact, I just watch NOVA programs now by means of ROKU, and I am in control of more of my time now. I used to not watch television at all, and as I recall this part of my life was very productive. I made myself so busy that I no longer play my favorite Bach and Beethoven pieces, but as I become more productive there will be time to enjoy and relax a little. By the by, I think you are doing a fantastic job of relating to your kids. How exhilarating seeing you reap those benefits and guide your kids to empower themselves. I too was at a loss for a good guide, and in the third grade after school I even went to a college library hoping someone would engage me, but that did not happen. As a thinker my head was filled with ideas and insights, but there was no guide with whom to talk things over. Consequently, I became a workaholic by doing too many things and not being prepared for the required formal duties. Need to break this habit. Thanks.
