OfflineI'm a former music teacher and hornplayer(french horn). I still take on a few private students at the local university(CSUB) and now I work nights at the local casino(card room) as a "banker". I watch the dealer at my table and make sure they follow procedure and pay the customers the exact amount won.
I have a huge collection of horn cd's and music-including ensembles of up to 12 horns. I started a local horn quartet that rehearsed regularly until I was diagnosed with focal dystonia. I have not been able to play since May 2010.
I try to play basketball at least 5 times a week at the local park in order to keep in shape-it's my favorite exercise. I have a cat named "Overboard".
I'm a christian and I sing in the men's chorus at my church. In fact, we sing next weekend.

Hello, My name is Melvin and I tend to do everything by myself(I'm 52 and single). I don't have a large "social" or work-related group that I keep in contact with.
However, as a musician(former horn player/conductor)I have associated with a number of artistic individuals. Anyway, so this real estate idea is scary for me in soo many ways, I decided perhaps I need to reach out here at DG. Apparently this is an oasis for others who have felt alone in their quest. And for me, maybe it can be a starting place to make headway in meeting new people and breaking some of my shyness barriers in starting something so new to me.
I'm in Bakersfield, CA so I've already been hit with the road block of no assignment of contracts.
I just finished viewing all the DVD's from "Gain the Edge 10" which I knew I was going to have to return because my cc's were already maxed-out. Because just before this I bought the "Tax Lien Profit Stategies" after attending a DG seminar.
I have spent enough money on information!!!! Now I just need to make some!!!!
