I'm a freshman in college right now, without a declared major. I switched out of vocal performance, (I love singing, but it's not a career path I'm interested in,) and will likely declare computer science as my major in Fall 2009. I came from a fairly poor background; at one point I was living in my church's parking lot in a trailer with no running water. I knew that wasn't the life for me and decided, in the future, I would be well off. I had to be. Then, a couple months into my second semester of college I finally made the decision. I am going to be rich. Then I had the bright idea to actually read Dean's book, Be A Real Estate Millionaire, which I had purchased 3 months prior. I'm trying to get started, but being a college student with not enough time to work, I have a negative monthly cash flow. I'm hoping all of this will change soon. My first goals are to pay off all of my debts, (which are not substantial,) pay off my mom's debt, ($80,000) and my grandparent's mortgage, ($120,000.) Depending on when you read this, I may have already sold my computer, (a huge part of my life,) to get the money to get started.
