I am an investor on the Southern Oregon coast and I am trying to find a title company that will perform a closing on a property where I have done an assignment of contract. I have talked with both of the local title companies and been told by one that what I am trying to do is illegal and from the second one that they could not pay me an assignment fee because I am not a licensed real estate agent.

Can anyone that has done this type of transaction in Oregon tell me what title company they used. I know there has to be a title company in the state that is familiar with this type of transaction.

Looking for Investors to assemble a team of professionals with and spread our network around different areas of the island to help each other progress. It's not easy to go on it alone here in beautiful yet expensive Hawaii, but if we work together to gather each other's brokers, agents, appraisers, etc. Then we all win because we can gain other's confidence and business for helping them also. Hope to hear some feedback. Im still new to the Real Estate language and way of doing things, but i have the heart to learn and want to succeed, especially with my family in mind that keeps me going. I've literally bought everything Dean had to offer and still reading over everything and just jumped into the Academy not too long ago because I want to know everything and I want to succeed, don't you?

I've just finished Dean's book "Profit from Real Estate Right Now". It was very GOOD, and I'am getting started! Anyone in the South Carolina region with some knowledge and real estate skills let's network together. I don't have all of the 'know-how' yet, but I think I will start working on a buyer's list. This way I can at least start to find properties investors actually want to purchase.

I talked to a REA today they told me that assignments can't be done in VA. Iam in N.VA the REA said that I would need earnest money and proof of funds? Then she went on an said that due to law in VA that I would have to be a REA to do this type of thing? Need some light on this from the DG family.

I'm a very motivated beginner looking to assign deals in SE Iowa , but from the various properties I've researched , it doesn't look like there's any room for a profit. This is causing me to get very discouraged. I'm also having a heck of a time finding buyers for this area.

Any help or suggestions would be deeply appreciated.
