Everything Else

A Four Letter Word We Should All Use-----W-O-R-K!

I have always been impressed by people that work hard. No matter their field of labor, those that work hard seem to get ahead in a way that others do not.

I believe that the field of real estate is no different. It seems to me that those who put forth effort usually get blessed with deals. Even those that struggle, usually because they are learning, get it and start making money. When a person gives up they seem to fail.

Never give up. When the chips are down, never give up. When a deal seems to be out of reach, never give up. When you back is against the wall, never give up.

You can do it.

Need some experienced advice

Ok so I have been in contact with multiple agents trying to find the right one for me and my partner to use. Of the ones who have responded a trend I am seeing is a message somewhat like this.... "To better assist you and gather more information I would like to schedule a preliminary consultation." Multiple agents have asked for this. WHat exactly do you think my next steps should be?

Attitude is Everything

I really feel it is so important to have the right type of attitude as you are getting into real estate investing. Having the right type of attitude will make or break you as you are working to become successful.

One Step at a Time

All of us need to understand that we are in the busineess of real estate for the rest of our lives or until we retire. As we get that around our minds we will beginn to approach things in a manner taht may help us find more success.

Often times we will become overwhelmed if we have a job and get wrapped up in life and try to do our business.

If this sounds familiar step back and take one step at a time. Find 2 hours a day and do what you can in your business. Find that two hours EACH day. Do not leave your business for weeks and months at a time. A little time each day will pay off. JUST DO IT!

Just starting out

So we are just starting out on this amazing journey. I have a question, though, that has to do with all the training stuff we have been doing. We've gone to the three day boots on the ground training and we have a certificate for something called "boot camp training" that is held in Utah. Is this something different than boots on the ground?

Real Estate Agents

For some reason new clients often get intimidated about finding and working with real estate agents. My experience has taught me that there is nothing to fear. When you fully understand how agents are paid and who is willing to work, you will have an easier time finding one to work for you.

Let's remember some facts about agents. If you have an office of 25 agents (1 will be the broker) there will be five agents that make 80% of the income in that office. the other 20 agents will spilt 20% of the income. In other words, the vast majority of real estate agents do not make enough money to live on.

Does Buyer need Address of property to Evaluate it?

Does the Buyer need the addresses of properties just to Evaluate the properties he has interest in?
or can he evaluate properties without needing the address from me?

Partnering in PG County, MD

Hi,

I'm just starting out and have been reading and learning Dean's strategies. I find that two heads usually works better than one and i'm interested in partnering up with someone who is currently or just starting in the Real Estate Investing business in my local DC, PG area. If that interests you, please DM and I'd love to meet with you.

Bird Dog Fee

Hi Everyone,

I would like some help with determining how much I should charge for a fee for birddogging.

I have a couple of people who have asked me to find property for them, and I would like to get some information from the DG Community as to what kind of fee would be fair to them as well as being fair to me.

Thank You

Linda
