Some Will, Some Won't, So What, Someone's Waiting

When you've found a Motivated Seller you'll know it. You'll see it in their Eyes or Hear it in their Voices. They need the Bleeding to stop and your the Cutman!!! Trust me when I say this, you don't Beg, Persuade, or Coddle anyone!!! Their either in or their out! Ya know sometimes it's important to count the No's as a Positive. Because you have to get the no's, sometimes 25, 35 or even 105 Noooooooo's to get the $5000, $10,000 or $25,000 YES. But you know that with Persistence and Determination even 200 no's won't stop ya!

Help trying to get started

I have read most of Dean's book by now, and done some research on my own and it seems that the lowest risk to break in to this real-estate investing is through wholesaleing or assigning investors with sellers. From what i understand a wholesaler goes out and looks for properties after he/she has a buyers list. Once he/she has locked up a deal, they assign it to the investor and write this in the contract. Is this correct or am I reading it wrong? Thanks

7-day auctions and FSBO

I set up my website from Dean. I have no homes to put on it yet, so I am leary of marketing the website.

In Dean's most recent book he discussed holding the 7-day auctions. This struck an idea I had to get homes on my website.

I was thinking of offering FSBO a chance to place their homes on my website for free. Has anyone done this or a 7-day auction before?

Kat

I may have a great lead on a buyers list!

I just got a call on my "looking for investors" craigslist ad. There is a company in my area who helps people find affordable housing(either those have just lost their house to foreclosure or just those who just need help). This organization works directly with investos around the area who hire them to find great deals on apartments and single family homes! Sounds familiar, right? Well, this organization is so busy, they don't have enough resources to cover all of their needs. So they called me!

Travel a lot, Invest in other areas?

Here is the question I've asked my Realtor (worded differently). I'm asking here to see if anyone has had experience with it.

Here is my situation, I travel a lot with my job. In fact I'm only home on Friday to Monday, every other week. For each job I generally stay in one area for months at a time. I'm interested in doing IEE type deals to investors and individuals using the same methods I am back home. (Love the multiple extensions on the 1-800 number!)

"We Buy Houses" Ads

I live in MN and noticed that there has been much less activity on billboards for "We Buy Ugly Houses" and posters on light posts for "We Buy Houses." I guess it could be because I live in MN and we are just coming out of a snowy, cold winter. Does anyone else know why there would be less activity like this?
