There are some great 24 Hr. recorded messages you can do for a voicemail in the Profit for Real Estate Right Now book, that help wee out the callers you want but they seem kinda lengthy. Are there any other messages scripts you can use that are shorter and they will work just as good as the others?

I have my automated system set up. I originally used the scripts from Dean's book. They are good for weeding out cold leads and bringing in hot leads. If someone is going to sit through the entire length of the voicemail, they are motivated, and you have saved time. However, I found that so many callers were hanging up.
I modified my system so that it is shorter. My call to call and leave a message ratio are high. Even when people hang up, I still call them back to see if I can be of any assistance to them.
It really boils down to what works best for each individual seller. Some people simply don't want to listen to a voice system and would rather speak with a real person. Some people don't care, some people want short sweet and to the point, while others find the lengthy scripts very informational.
There is no right or wrong. Test different methods, scripts, lengths, and styles to see what works best for you and your target market. There is also a debate to use either a local number or an 800#. There is only one way to find out...TEST THEM!

Notice this approach is very different than most that you see. This is more of an explanation of what you do and how you can help them instead of just saying, "Sorry, that property is sold..." Hope it helps!

I've lost alot due to just regular voicemails. I've not been using the 24hr hotline. But I may do that now also. As a broker, I'm so use to picking up the phone and talking, that I hated to risk the hang ups. So I've been taking the calls myself. However, within the last week, I've started explaining a little about what I do. So this is right in line with what I need.
