Home in preforeclosure

Hi guys and gals,

I need some input about a coworker of mine is having. His home is in preforeclosure, he has until October 31st to pay $137,000 or go into foreclosure. The home was appraised @ $143,000. It needs alot of cosmetic repairs and will soon need a new roof, needs new carpet. It is a 4/3/2 built 1995. The notes are 925.00 and 225.00 month. Any suggestions on the best route to go on this or is it already too late?

Realtors generally get up to 6% of the sale price

Taxes, depending on the state, are factored into the sales price in the normal way you would normally do any purchase, but would base it over a 30 year period

You can buy on your own
