Hi, my name is Jeb Dennis, a new real-estate investor following DG's techniques. I've started a REI business for extra income, but to also uniquely contribute to the music and arts community here in CT and NY. I am a classical pianist by training, but recognize the continuous need to create paying performance opportunities for musicians.
After reading Dean's "Profit from RE Right Now" and Chapter 11 on 7-Day auctions, I started an initiative (with fellow musicians) to host music concerts in the seller's home as part of any Saturday and Sunday weekend open house using the Marketing Consultant approach (as CH. 11 describes).
I want to connect any investors on DG.com, especially anyone familiar with 7-day auctions. I have starter questions like (1)how much the marketing consultant's fee should be, what objections anyone has encountered from sellers/realtors/etc., and all other helpful input.
Look forward to getting this thread going...
Not sure I am understanding the Marketing Consultant approach since it has been a while since reading about holding auctions? Can you explain using music? I have always liked the idea of the auctions, so interested in the response, but not sure how many people on here have actually held many auctions....

Thanks for responding to my post. Many homes in the Northeast here have pianos and living rooms for music concerts, where I've given concerts many times. Since many attend concerts on weekends, the entertainment portion/small reception could draw home bidders as well. So, I'd like to see if music and real-estate investing could truly partner up...certainly an "outside the box" notion (I never stayed long "in the box.")
