I was curious to know if investors are having any difficulties making contact with either foreclosed on property owners or people owed monies from tax lien sale overages?
I know there are a lot of free sites out there that provide basic information, such as next of kin and of course public records being available throughout the country in many states. Are basic cheap 'click here, pay here' sites providing up to date, good contact info?

One way to find contact information on a vacant property will by to get a “forwarding address”.
In order to get a “forwarding address” you need to send the home owner a letter, post card or an empty envelope….
You’ll include the following information BELOW the return address:
- Do Not Forward -
- Return Service Requested –
When you send this letter the post office will NOT forward it, instead they will send the letter back to you with a yellow sticker that has the NEW ADDRESS!
This simple method can quickly assist you in locate absentee owners!
In reference to a good “paid website”… you can research www.Intelius.com, they are a legitimate company that will allow you to track down home owners.
