Jami's Journal

Jami's Journal

Hello
I am Jami Floyd, 50 yrs. young, and reside in Fort Walton Beach, FL. I divorced in 2006 after 25 years of marriage. I am blessed with 3 grown children and four grandchildren who are very dear to my heart. I have a strong faith and good health (I am told I do not look near my age and my spirit is excellent).
My in-laws, including my xhusband, took everything out of our home before I had a chance to, so I get to start over. I know the divorce was the best thing for me. I have reunited with my Love-of-my-Life (my first beau) after all these years and he never married (he said he let the right one go).
I achieved an Associates Degree in Business Administration w/ a Concentration in Visual Communications, combining 2 years of college in 1 year and completing 90-out-of 94 credits with a GPA 3.51. PowerPoint is a strong enjoyment and seems to come easy for me. The economy dropped the winter I graduated and it has been impossible to get in a good position with all the younger generations seeking work as well. My hobbies are my Cockatiel Talo, income tax, gardening, word puzzles, and family and faith.
I have always been interested in Real Estate and Dean Graziosi has enthusiam out-of-this-world as well as steps to help one start the journey.
I have studied 'Be A Real Estate Millionaire', his forms and documents, researched FHA Mortgage Lists, real estate investors, interest rate trends, compared Florida's mortgage rates, read from Matt Larson, Carol Stinson, and much more.
I have a sister in a real estate property management firm in PA, a sister-in-law in a real estate office here in Ft Walton, a sister-in-law as CPA,PA, and family from my home state of Louisiana that I can use as well. I am determined to do this.
I still need start-up help, as I have tried to contact Carol Stinson and have no response yet.
If any interested party would like to assign me to do something to help, contact me here in my journal.
Thank you.
Desperately Seeking
Beechpeech

keep it going

I am really excited about "The Edge". I have been absorbing many ideas from Darla, Matt, and finally I have been chatting w/ Mike. I feel he will help me through this month, he seems really smart although he is modest. I am determined to figure this out and be successful. I have to. Barbara (Dean used her to start at #7What is important? til #1 is the real goal for HERSELF) had me reflecting on myself and so many can relate to her story. Dean, you amaze me with your strategic manner. God Bless. Thank you Jami

Start ups

I have taken pictures of homes for sale, written the info on fixer-uppers, taken notes on the handyman uses, and found some quaintly nice. Now to research on prices, how long they've been on the market, property taxes, etc., which I have found these ????s w/ Dean. I even included properties w/o homes. Keep it going!
Jami

COMMENT AIMED TO DEAN

Dean
I now know you do not receive PMs.
I am getting more things done each day, but now I am stumped. I have driven around, taken pictures of fixer-uppers, handyman needers and even empty properties. Then I did research in the county records on values, present & previous owners, etc. I have the greatest handyman/fixerupper who is my better half. I called the Success Academy and Rose, the secretary, informed me of the Rock Bottom Blueprint 5-week trial period I am on to have access to the "live" help with successful members in your realm. My journal will help to keep you up-to-date w/my progress. I hope soon I can get info on the next step to the making money. Please give me feedback. Thank you Jami

Get into the EDGE

Dean,
you have an AWESOME team! Darla & Greg, to start, make me so excited. I am really into the mobile homes and would LOVE to be on Darla's team as well. I am so excited to get to the other EDGE dvds, that I know it'll get even better. I will consistently track homes for sale in all states of condition while I learn the techniques and advice from each of your team members. WOW!! This is a need-to-come-true path for my future. I really need this type of security. I am taking many notes so I hope and pray in time I will have the mentoring I need. They have a simplicity about their knowledge, I almost trust myself to start, but as I said before, I really do not want to sound too amateur, this is too important to me.
Thank you FATHER, for bringing this team and Dean Graziosi together to help us succeed.
Thank you Dean.

more EDGE

WOW! each member has a unique gift that has helped them successfully master their 'niche' in real estate. I just finished w/ Ali Safavi and w/ many a mind repetition for myself and loud-speaking for practice, I cannot wait for this to be 2nd nature. I too will make it count, after I know what I learn and strive to my goals (the 1st is my independence). I will keeps adding knowledge until it is implanted and this is really possible. Each step I learn seems easier and each member of Dean's academy has visions that do not seem impossible even for me. Gosh! How I need this!
Thank you again Dean

my 1st conversation as a REI

WOW! how exciting! I actually had a REI conversation w/ a stranger today. The lingo came more naturally w/ all my studying. I rode around looking for properties, for sale/rent, and came across a family loading a Penske moving truck. I asked if they were coming or going and when asked if I could photo the house, he informed me it belonged to someone else, so I agreed to come another time and I'd talk to the owner. He asked what I was doing and I informed him I was a REI and the conversation took-off and to my amazement,I handled it well and was to excited to realize I had not fumbled doing the conversation. I really sounded like I knew my trade of the REI. GREAT! I'll keep-on-keeping-on until my 5 weeks of learning are up and I know I'll be ready for buyers/sellers/bankers/etc.
Thank you all on Dean's board for investing your time.

upscale neighborhood

Hey,
How much money do birddogs make per sale? I know it is based on the price of homes, but there must be an average or flat fee? I have been finding more homes, especially in the upper-scaled areas, for rent/sale and I really enjoy riding to find them and researching information on them. I realize the less work and the bigger dollar figures are in the investment-buy-hold, buy-flip, wholesale, rent, etc., which I do intend to do a little of each and then choose my niche and go-for-the-gusto. Today and yesterday I found really nice homes and will now do research on the addresses for value, tax info, present/previous owners, any modifications, etc. Keeping it important to my heart and striving for the day a mentor can oversee/or even use anything I have found to help me along the way.
Happy to be on board!

update

Here it is the end of September with things in place, incl. properties and some important info on the taxes, owners, prices, etc. as well as potential buyers/investors who are family/friends. I am on the line and I really need someone to pull me over.
I'M TERRIFIED only to look unprofessional. I want this to be the last career move. This will be my nest egg in 20 years.
IT CAN BE DONE IF EVERYTHING IS PLACED CORRECTLY.
My goal is to have a few deals before the end of 2011.
