OfflineI'm not sure where to start. So here goes. Several years ago I purchased the PMI program and I have to confess that I did not follow through and I let the opportunity slip through my fingers. There were many excuses but my failure was not taking action; fear of the unknown and not utilizing the program. Once I gave up, I basically pushed my desire to do RE investing and ultimately- I had failed.
Then about a year ago I started receiving emails from Dean with him sharing his weekly blog and I occasionally would click on to see what he had going on. I did enjoy his videos and found them to be a positive influence in my life. Then a few months ago I decided to explore the DG.com website and I started reading the success stories, slowly the desire to be a real estate investor started to stir and I finally ordered Dean's books: Profit from Real Estate Right Now! and Be A Real Estate Millionaire. I received them in Feb read some but because of my current schedule have not finished them. But I did receive a call from the Success Academy and I found that I am ready to do it right. I have personally changed and I am willing to be coached and willing to do what is needed to accomplish my goals. So over the weekend I purchased the PMI program again! Today I had my first coaching call and I am starting the course.
I am excited to have a clearer perspective and I am looking forward to working with professionals that will be available to answer my questions.
My Goal is to provide additional income to our family. We don't have much saved for retirement, so real estate investing will be a great way to supplement that.
I wanted to disclose that I have been reading many of the journals and I did not make any comments-- when there were times I wanted too. So I am committing to becoming an active member of this community and I will give input, feedback, or maybe a

I just joined the success academy recently too. After dreaming about it for years I too am ready to get it going, so good move on both our parts. Good luck and we cant quit. I know once that first deal comes ill be hooked for life and so will you.

I am happy that I am working with a coach, it helps me to feel accountable and this motivates me to stay on track. Last week was hectic and finding time to complete my assignments was not easy. I will be working on them and the new assignments this week. I have determined my strategy for getting started in REI with little or no money, so I am taking steps forward-- and that is what counts.

it's been a crazy month, I usually have a very uneventful life, but since joining the academy things have been happening and not in a good way. Someone broke into our house and stole my laptop, and new stove that we purchased on the 3rd use of the oven the inside glass shattered (I never heard that one) and it scared me. So I am not using the stove till it gets replaced. Then my mother, who I care for suddenly is having a new reaction to medication she has been taking for months. So needless to say I have not been staying on track. I feel the momentum I had is gone and now I am feeling overwhelmed. I need to be more organized so I will get a handle on the priorities of being a REI.

Hey, don't be too hard on yourself -- life happens. It is understandable there will be hiccups and short breaks here and there. Dust yourself off, take a moment to "regroup" and collect your thoughts, and give yourself some positive self talk. You'll get there!

How are things going for you this week? I hope better. Sorry about someone breaking in. It's scary. Someone stole my brother's laptop last year while they were sleeping.
On top of that I know it's been a crazy month for us too since starting the academy. We're definitey on the same page of feeling overwhelmed. Hang in there!

I have taken a few steps in the right direction. I attended a RE investors meeting. Plus my son(28) has decided to join me. Together we will support and motivate each other. He has 2 retail buyers we will be working with -- so we are moving forward.
