I just ordered Dean's book a few days ago, and I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival. However, due to my business trip being extended, I won't get to read it until I get home...in a couple of weeks.
On a positive note, I've been reading the forums for the past few hours and I feel confident that I can turn this "Side Money" project into a second source of income. I know it will take some studying and dedication (especially since I have no real estate or business background), but I can do it!!
I look forward to posting more about my path and becoming a featured Success Story!!

Ryan, welcome. You are in the right place. Thank God for technology. You could take Dean and the DG family wherever you go. Do not worry about the books now, continue to explore the expanse of knowledge on this site and you have enough education until you return home. All the best and God Bless.

Congrats on getting started in RE, and welcome to the DG site and family! I too, like many others - knew nothing about real estate befor seeing Dean on TV and ordering a book - and its changed my life complete in two /2 years!! Enjoy the journey - and remember you are always learning RE no matter where you are and what you're doing! Its classroom earth for us out there

Well I can't wait to continue!! I would like to be able to say that I started with just the first book, and the knowledge i gained from it paid for everything else.
Only time will tell!!
P.S. I kinda need it to pay for itself because my wife is really skeptical and won't let me use any more of our money until it proves profitable.

Thank you for your support, Nadine. I see you have your RE license. Has that helped you or hurt you? I'm thinking about getting it to add to my resume and expand my knowledge and resources. However, I'm unsure if getting it will hinder my ability to apply what I learn in the book.
Also, since you've started on this adventure, how has it worked out for you?
