question about Matt Larson's agent letter.

question about Matt Larson's agent letter.

I am new to REI and i want to start sending emails and faxes of this letter to prospective re agents. However, in the letter he says he is looking to purchase 100 properties in 12-18 months. What is a realistic number someone as new as myself should put in that place? I would rather under promise and over deliver so any advice would be great, thanks.

Hey Longhorn!

I would tweak the numbers to what I can handle effectively. You're the only one that
can answer that question. It also depends if you do this full or part time etc.
I hope I was of help. Congrats for joining the DG FAMILY, welcome aboard.

It's really hard to say, I told myself I wanted to do 12 deals in the first year. But in the first 6 months I did a big whooping 0,In the last 9 months I have done 20. I must admit I owe it all to the success acamady and wonderful coaches.

thanks for the feedback

I am only doing this part time for now. My goal is to retire my wife in three years and myself in five. If I can do it sooner, great. I want to start moving like now but financial restrictions are holding me back a bit at this point. I just feel that everyday that I am not actively doing something to further my REI career is a day wasted that I wont get back. I guess all newbies feel that anxiousness of wanting it done now, but I also know that it takes time. My approach in the beginning is to do assignments seeing as how I have less than great credit and no money to invest. Do I need an LLC to do assignments or should that come when I have my own properties?
