OfflineI can not remember when i joined. I just remembered that i ordered a book from Dean and I read it. I found this REI Center from the notice that came congratulating me of my purchase. I have visited this site only a couple of times, but i have ordered most all the books that Dean have to offer. I read all of them, but not with the same dedication that you all have. I have watched the EDGE, but i have not used the AFF, because I did not know/ have not figured out to use it. When it comes to computers, I just am at a loss. I am not even sure if this will make it to the site that i want to send it to. As i said, i have visited this site only a couple of times, and i had ONLY look at the titles that appealed to me. I should have known better. All the sites are all wells of information, if not stories of inspirations that should push one to success. I will be coming back here. I hope I can find my way back!

I have to back track! My first blog sounded negative and i did not like it. After I read Dean's first book, I decided to look for a place in Craig's List. I saw something I was interested in, but that i can not afford. I wrote the seller that fact and he answered. He turned out to be a realtor who bought the property for his sister who was unable to take it off his hands. To make it short, he sent me listings and i saw one my close friend and i can afford. The houses in the mainland are so much more different than here in Hawaii, that i can not believe they were being offered for such ridiculous prices. They are constructed much better too. The houses that are offered for 150K can go for over a million here in Hawaii. We (my close friend and I) got a place and we are trying to have it rented now. I convinced my husband to get a property that i am still in the process of rehabbing. I will be in Phoenix again this Thanksgiving week to finished up with the repairs. Those first purchases were done with my emotions involved, and my own money. Now I know better. I will try to get a place with OPM. LOL! I hope I can make it. I got back in here, didn't I?

Congratulations for taking action with real estate investing. Dean's books are packed with a tremendous amount of tips, techniques, strategies and information. Your journal is a great idea to hold you accountable, track your progress and share some of your new found knowledge and experience with other DG Members.
Everyone is a little nervous at first but with experience and knowledge your confidence will grow whether with computers or real estate. The key is do a little each day to move you closer to your goals and dreams. Good luck with real estate investing and your future deals. Believe and Achieve!

I was unable to log in Sunday night. Wonder what happened? Does the REI center 'close' Sunday nights? So what did I do? I spent over two hours looking for a tenant on craiglist for the Glenrosa and I can not help but feel sorry for that mother with an 11 year old boy who is about to be homeless. We have them here in Hawaii but most of our homeless are by the beach, in tents. I need advise! Would it be okay to offer that mother the condo as long as she can pay for her own utilities and the HOA? She says she just needs a couple of months, would it be hard to evict them afterwards? How long is the cold weather in Phoenix?

It sure is hard to get a gift for someone who has everything. The gift Dean's staff gave him this year is an exceptional one. He is into helping people, that scholarship is just another way to help someone deserving. I had to stop by, to log this event, and hopefullly in a couple of months or a year maybe, I will get to congratulate the lucky student after he/she made her first deal.
