Carol and Gar's Journal

Carol and Gar's Journal

Day 1

We just read Dean's book "Profit from Real Estate Right Now". We were so excited that we joined the Success Academy.

I was keeping a personal journal however, I thought that if I posted it online it would keep me motivated and keep my fear from getting out of hand!

We have not done any real estate investing yet since we are brand new but hopefully we will get started soon.

Day One Continues

Day 1 (Part Two)

Today, I started searching websites like Craig's List and also the County records that are online. I also looked up REI groups in Rochester,NY and have only found one. There has to be more. Anyway, I plan to keep this journal up to date and let everyone know of my progress. (In the event that anyone else reads this.)

Maybe someday I will be able to help someone else out with the knowledge I have gained.

Day Two

Hi all,

Today was incredibly busy. I took a look at a great many websites, including this one, craig's list and also looked up REI groups in Rochester NY. I could only find one on the web but I am sure there has to be more. Can someone give me an idea of where else to look?

I looked up foreclosure sales in the Daily Record. Is that something I should consider subscribing to?

I researched Foreclosure Alert and accessed my County Clerks Office online to research some properties.

Took a drive and found two properties I am going to look into more and then last but not least....I listened to Dean's Conference "Finding Motivated Buyers.

Great day today! Hope all of you are doing well. Smiling

Hi Carol!

Wow! That's a GREAT start and AWESOME goals! I love the "small home in the Caribbean" idea. Smiling

I love reading everyone's journals. There are so many now (FANTASTIC!) that it's hard to keep up, but I'll be following along and cheering you on as you reach for your goals!

And BELIEVE me, it won't be long before you ARE sharing knowledge with others here. It just kind of happens. You grow without even realizing how much. Smiling

God bless,

Rina

Day 3

Yesterday we had our assessment call from Pat Jacobs or is it Jacobson..sorry Pat.

She set up our classes and I browsed around a little. My classes start next week because I had a lot of things going on this week but I told her I couldn't just sit around and wait. So she suggested I do the "on Demand" classes.

Is it wrong for me to want to jump right in? I really don't want to wait until I complete the courses to start. However, if anyone is reading this please tell me if I am being stupid by not waiting until I complete the courses!

Today's plan is to fill in my day planner and work on breaking down my monthly goals to weekly and daily goals.

Hope all of you are doing well. Smiling
