A few days back Dean had a video in reference to purchasing foreclosures in Warren, MI.

use the search box (top left under Deans chin)
type in keywords 'deans weekly blog' or 'weekly wisdom' or 'private money lenders' (PML) and hit enter

Private money lenders are just that private. Often this means mom, dad, your doctor, dentist, lawyer or other private contacts that you have.
Many times people that hear this think "oh, I don't know anyone with money" however most people know those that have even small amounts of money - say $5,000. The other very important point to make is that people may know know those that have money but those you know most likely know those that have money.
Last point: When working with private investors and a successful transaction is completed they seem to inevitably tell others about their investment in real estate with you.
