One of the greatest benefits of attending Dean's "Gain the Edge" events is meeting like-minded investors. We were privileged to become friends with some awesome people at Edge 2011, and we all extended invitations to reach out when we were in each other's states.
Last night, we had a wonderful dinner with Greg & Linda Harmon from Illinois, who are in Florida for 10 days doing renovations on their very first out-of-state property.
Not only did we have a wonderful time catching up since meeting in Scottsdale, but Greg and Linda were a huge encouragement to both of us. We have had to revamp our investment strategy in the last few months and have been pretty discouraged because it has felt like starting over. But Greg, who is actually a "Boots on the Ground" coach, gave us some great tips that we can start using right now to get back on track. He personally coached us for over 2 hours over dinner without asking for anything in return, just because he wants us to succeed and LOVES to teach and help others.
For anyone out there who is new (and overwhelmed) and doesn't know where to begin or if, like us, you have been successful but feel "stuck", we want to encourage you to reach out to your DG family. All of them (us) are happy to help you, and everyone always learns something in the process.
Thanks Dean, for giving us such a healthy and encouraging culture to grow our businesses, and to Greg & Linda, Nate Street, John & Julie Wakefield, Carol Stinson, Ali Safavi and COUNTLESS others who are always happy to share their wisdom and support!

This is one big happy family! We've met a lot of very helpful investors on this site. We missed the EDGE this year but hoping to make it next year!
What type of strategy are you using now?
Congrat's on your successes!
Sheila
