I learned today about this pending law which wants to eliminate seller held not mortgages. Is anyone familiar with this and do we Investors need to respond?

I started a thread called "end of seller financing" in the Financing and Credit forum. In the thread there is a link to make your comments to the federal reserve regarding regulation z of the dodd-frank bill.

That is a link to a discussion of the proposed amendment to the Dodd-Frank act. This is entirely different from the Safe Act.

Hey TRSD
Like someone else said in one of those other threads, that link is definitely linking into spam. I'm curious to read the source, but had to bounce from that page quickly.

Really? Who said that?
Don't know what your definition of spam is....the link provides the audio to a webinar discussing regulation Z, and the snipurl link takes you to the federal reserve wweb site. In any case, here's the direct link to the federal reserve web site...scroll down and leave your comment. We have until tomorrow.

Yes, as many people as possible need to respond. It completely takes "creative financing" away from the investor and the buyer. Those buyers are the ones who dont qualify for bank financing and want to live in a home. Owner financing gives them that oppotunity. This law takes freedoms away..freedoms of how we can do business and freedoms of where and how we have to live.
