OfflineHi everyone, my name is John. I've recently seen Dean's informercial and it got my attention but I don't know how to start and still hesitating to buy the books. I am really interested in REI but this is my first time on even thinking of this to make some money. I really want to do this but I think I will need help from everyone to get me started. Glad to meet you. If you never do anything again in your life you must buy Deans books. Dean simplifies the art of buying real estate with no money down. He has so much helpful information in those books. Since I started here in the board a couple years ago...I have bought both of Deans books and have closed 21 cash deals without using one penny of my own money. I did spend money on gas driving around town looking at properties and gas to go show the houses to prospective buyers. But hey...the returns for that small amount of money has been tremendous.
You have to read read read and ask many questions. Then you have to get out there and walk through houses and talk to home owners. The main thing is to start building a stron buyers list. This is the key to making fast sales. If you know what your investors buy then you will know where to look and what kind of offers to make. Once you get out there and start working it will come second nature to you. You will get lots of help around here. This is like one big family and everyone helps each other. But you gotta get those books. They are worth their weight in gold and will change your life forever.

You should have seen me when I first started here. I asked so many questions from the ones who have done deals. I was so afraid I was making them mad but they patiently and so kindly always helped me everytime I asked for help (Thank you Matt, Rina, Elena, Sully, Anita, and all the many others)
The main thing is buy those books and if you can go through the Success Academy to give you a big kick start ( I didn't ever go through it because I was so short on $$$ so they at the academy told me to come to this board and read read read) The academy is wonderful but you can do it the way I did by reading and asking many questios.
It really is simple once you learn the techniques...and if you are a good talker and people person it is a blessing.
You will get a lot of help to begin your REI career. You can tell too that Dean is a great guy. You will see him on the board and he always makes us a weekly video with a lot of information...he has conference calls for us occasionally and he is a all around good person who speaks with much passion. Dean has a real desire to help his people succeed.
