OfflineI was just wondering where i can find if these fees are legal in what states. I have searched the web and have not found anything. I am grand new at this whole thing but i want to make money, but I am a little worried about legal issues. Thanks Guys. By the way, the assistant fee is just the fee for you (yourself) setting up the buyer and the seller right?

Hi Kbohlinger, I'm not sure about what is legal and not legal where you are but it would be a good idea to check with an attorney who deals with "assignment of contracts". Yes the "finders fee" is just what it sounds like, a "finders fee". You are getting a % when you match a buyer to a seller. If you have Deans book "Profit From Real Estate Right Now", check out chapter 8 - page 149 thru 174. The book goes into pretty good detail about "assignments" so this might help you to understand to concept a little better. Hope this helps and good luck moving forward...
