OfflineHere is a link to an interesting article about what is going on with the mortgage settlement. This was a settlement that 5 of the biggest holders of mortgages agreed to stemming from the robo signing issues. What I find most interesting is the banks have promised in the settlement to reduce principal amounts on homes that are underwater. They had pledge a certain amount of the settlement to cover the principal reduction, and they are not even close to what they promised in the settlement. As it seems the banks are not living up to their end of the settlement.
