I wanted to share with you a few ways that I locate both private and public foreclosure auctions all over the country. I firmly believe that attending foreclosure auctions is a very effective way of "bumping into" bonified cash buyers. There are two types of auctions.
Public Auctions
Public Auctions are held usually at the county courthouse. Simply call the county courthouse and ask to speak to whoever is in charge of the "Property Foreclosure Aucitons" NOT Tax Lien Auctions. Public auctions will be placed in public view either on a bulletin board, or in the legal section of local newspapers. Plan to attend as many of these as you can.
Private Auctions
There are a few private companies who purchase bulk amounts of properties and auction them off as well. Here are a few national companies who hold auctions all over the country.

Go to either of these auction websites and click on the map your state and it will pull up a list of upcoming aucitons that you can attend. Attending private auctions are also a great way to meet cash buyers and exchange business cards with them.
Hope this information helps.
Happy Investing!
Thank you for posting this! I've been following both companies and another nice thing to know about both is that they offer online auctions as well. So while I may not be able to attend an auction to meet people (always the best way for networking of course) it was eye opening for me to have recently watched several online auctions -- these were auctions that had both online bidders and people there live at the auction. Some were won by those on site and others were won by online bidders. It didn't seem nearly as "scary" to me as I thought online auctions would be, but it was also interesting. Some properties went for far more than I ever would have expected and some went for far less than I would have thought, and all happened in 5 minutes or less!
