Remember while you're at the auctions to network, you'll find CASH buyers there to buy your deals!!!

I have gone to 3 auctions already, and made it a point to mingle. Got a lot of business cards from investors. And even mortgage brokers.
Worth going to watch and learn!
Went to my first sheriffs sale this week, was really informative. Only 4 of us there. And when the sheriff found out I was never at one before, he made it a point to explain some things and how it works after the sale.
So all this is good networking and very educational.

Good deals - they have live auctions where you actually have a number and a fast talking auctioneer (this is not the auction on the country courthouse steps - these are REO's being "re-auctioned") Don't get caught up in the excitement. Know your maximum bid and do not go a dollar higher or you will bid away your profit. They also have online auctions for those properties that sold and fell through.
Know this and remember it - they add 5% to your bid as a commission. Figure that into your maximum!

Thanks. I've seen those notices at some auctions so I thought it might just be random depending on the auction company. I know that one auction the sponsor paid the $ tab. Either way I suppose you end up paying for it.
