Look for notices in the newspapers regarding foreclosures, notice to creditors, Foreclosure Alert (if you have it), Trulia, Craigs List (if you like weeding/sifting through there system), your attorney if you have one, a friendly bank asset manager, a CPA, etc. This is just a few general ideas. A bunch of advertisements (most like to use Craigs List), flyers, signs, put up ads on bulletin boards at high traffic areas like Subways, 7-Eleven type stores, grocery stores, Laundry Mats. Anyplace you can get a catchy ad posted that is with approval. Anyplace. Pick a method or combination of methods demoed on here.
From there you have to be the motivator.
