OfflineHas anyone had an success buying short sales? They seem to take so long, not sure I can wait 6 months to find out if I have a deal.
There seems to be so many of them out there right now. I want to know how to take advantage of them.

Is there a short sale investor who negotiates short sales in your REI group? If so you could ask to get on their buyers list to be notified when the short sale has been finalized and ready to go. If there isn't one in your group you may be able to find someone who does this through Craigs List or bandit signs. If you see C/L ads or bandit signs such as "Avoid Foreclosure No Equity No Problem and then contact info", etc. Contact them to get on their buyers list WHEN the property is ready.
The short sale investors in our area double close their short sales and "usually" make $10K.
