Anything you sell by a written agreement can be assigned to someone else. In capitalist countries, this is one of the fundamental freedoms of business. It doesn't matter what you're selling. What matters is, you must have a written agreement with your name "and/or assigns" listed as the buyer. Or it must spell out the right to assign the sale to a 3rd party. You can do this with anything, especially if it has a deed or title: cars, real and personal property, businesses, options. But also stocks, bonds, rare coins, jewelry, vending machines, anything that legally exists and is worth at least one dollar (that is the magic part). This is the MAIN reason why assignment of contracts is legal in all 50 states, and always will be. Millions of these types of transactions happen every year, all over America and other "Western" capitalist countries. Your interest in a sale agreement is an asset with value that you can transfer ("assign") to anyone you wish. You must follow your state's laws and your sale agreement must allow for it in writing. Always double-check with your attorney for any rules that apply where you live. Some states require you to follow a certain format, some states forbid you from calling it an "assignment," even though that's exactly what you're doing, some states may tax any profit you receive from such a transfer. But long story short is: Yes you can do that, ask an attorney to learn exactly what rules you must follow to do it in your state. Good luck!
Paul: "I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when my fear is gone I will turn and face fear's path, and only I will remain."
Duke Leto: "I'll miss the sea, but a person needs new experiences. They jar something deep inside, allowing him to grow. Without change something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken." - "Dune."
