Owners

Hey Charmaine,
I use the PVA website to find the owners, it also tells me a lot about the properties.
Give it a try!
Thomas

Best thing you may be able

Best thing you may be able to do is send a letter to the owner.
if you pull up public record through the county, you can usually get the owners mailing address.
For Pre Foreclosures I'm a bigger fan of sending the owner a post card, due to the fact there is no avoiding the message on a post card

Example:

AVOID FORECLOSURE
-Save your credit
-get cash in your pocket
CALL NOW

Accessor

Hey there, Maria! I think it stands for Property Valuation Administrator a/k/a Accessor (as is the case here in the State of WA). So basically he is suggesting that the original poster use the tax record to get owner's addresses.

If the home is vacant/neglected, and the tax record shows the property address and tax billing address the same, that would probably mean the owner/resident just walked away.

In that case I would still send a letter to the address but write "Address Service Requested" below the mail-to address. It may be that the owner/resident just didn't tell the county they'd moved! This worked beautifully once for me to track down my former tenant who owed me $400 for unpaid sewer bills. She gave up and paid! It only cost me 50 cents!. Smiling
